Services Provided

Beleaf Bookkeepingprovides cloud bookkeeping services for small businesses, as well as a bookkeeping Q&A community called Office Hours. These terms govern your use of our website and services, including Office Hours subscriptions.

No Professional Relationship Through Office Hours

Participation in Office Hours does not create a professional bookkeeper-client or accountant-client relationship between you and Beleaf Bookkeeping or Jennifer Jesseau. The information provided during Office Hours sessions and within the community is for general educational purposes only. It is not tailored to your specific financial situation and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

What Is Not Included in Office Hours

Office Hours does not include:

• Bookkeeping services, data entry, or transaction processing
• Bookkeeping cleanups or catch-up work
• Document review, file preparation, or audit support
• Tax advice, tax preparation, or tax filing services
• Any work that would normally be performed under a bookkeeping engagement

If you require any of these services, please contact us for a separate quote.

Subscriptions and Billing

Office Hours subscriptions are available on a monthly or quarterly basis. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
• Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and may be subject to applicable taxes.

Community Conduct

Office Hours members communicate through a Microsoft Teams community. By joining, you agree to:

• Treat all members and facilitators with respect and courtesy
• Refrain from sharing confidential business information of others
• Not use the community for solicitation, advertising, or spam
• Follow Microsoft's terms of service for Teams

We reserve the right to remove members who violate these guidelines without refund.

Recordings

Office Hours live sessions may be recorded for the benefit of members who are unable to attend. By participating in a live session, you consent to being recorded. Recordings are shared within the Microsoft Teams community and are not to be distributed outside of the community without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Beleaf Bookkeeping and Jennifer Jesseau shall not be held liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on information provided through Office Hours, our website, or any other communication. You are responsible for verifying any information and consulting with qualified professionals before making financial or business decisions. Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of Office Hours shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the preceding 12 months.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
